About This Item
Chicago: New Publicatons, 1949. A Very Good+ to Near Fine copy. One short closed tear at the lower left corner of the front cover, with a touch of spine fading and creasing to the yapped edges. Reprints the novel "Seven Footprints To Satan" by A. Merritt, and the short story "The Wrath of Amen-Ra." Inner illustrations by Virgil Finlay, and the Lawrence cover painting is without question one of the coolest (and creepiest) we've ever seen. On an interesting note, McSweeney's used this cover painting for their "Enchanting Chamber of Astonishing Stories" anthology in 2004.
