London: Nicholson and Watson, 1943. Hardcover. Good. A First Edition novel by American crime writer Dorothy B Hughes in bright blue boards with black titles. Good, old damp staining to the boards, some spine lean but the binding is sound, spotting to text block edges, the pages are clean with no inscriptions. In good dust wrapper, not price clipped, rubbed to edges, chipped to the spine ends and foot of the upper panel. This title was made into a feature film in 1943 starring John Garfield and Maureen O'Hara. Good 1943
