Harper and Row Publishers, New York, 1980. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Fair. X , 306pp., introduction by author, acknowledgements, bibliography and index. Double page map of Iran. Within the text there is one other map, of Teheran. Red coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Very minor rubbing to the book corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. There has been loss of cloth colour due to insect activity, to the first 0.5 "of the book edges. discolouration to the top paper edge. Back hinge is slightly loose. Previous owner' s name on the free front endpaper. Plain text dust wrapper, with bone coloured background with dark green, red and black writing on the front panel and spine. Dustwrapper has been sun faded as has the top 0.5 "edge of the front panel and running along the fold over crease of the front panel. Rubbing to the dustwrapper corners and there is some chipping to the top edge of the front cover. There is a 0.25 " tear to the top front cover as well. On the verso of the dustwrapper some leaching of the cloth colour is visible and some results of insect activity can also be seen. Dustwrapper is price clipped, front fold over, top righthand corner.
