Clarke was a British science fiction writer and inventor, who is widely regarded as a key figure in the popularisation of space travel. His screenplay for the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey, which was co-written with Stanley Kubrick, is considered to be one of the most influential films of all time. For many years Arthur C. Clarke, along with Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asmiov, were considered the 'Big Three' of science fiction writing. A Fall of Moonlight is a hard science fiction novel, and tells the story of a group of passengers who get stúck when visiting the moon. The book is credited for its scientific accuracy and was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel. It is also the first science fiction work to be turned into a Reader's Digest Condensed Book. Condition: In a red cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally in excellent condition, with just some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Ink signature, dated 1961 to front free endpaper. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition with some slight chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Handling marks to the wrap. Spine is slightly sunned. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Overall Condition: Near Fine in a Very Good Indeed dustwrapper.

A Fall of Moondust is a science fiction novel by Arthur C. Clarke, first published in 1961. It was nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel, and was the first science fiction novel selected to become a Reader's Digest Condensed Book. By the 21st century, the Moon has been colonized, and is open to tourists who can afford the trip. Some of them are trapped after a lunar quake. Can they be rescued?
