About This Item
West Newton, MA: Struik Defense Committee, 1952. Pamphlet. 10p., stapled wraps, creased else very good condition. The Committee was led by George Sarton, members included his daughter May Sarton, Norbert Wiener, Waldo Frank, and many others. Struik, a professor of mathematics at MIT, was suspended from teaching after taking the 1st & 5th Amendments while under investigation for communist sympathies. He was one of the founding editors of Science and Society.
