About This Item
London: William Heinemann, 1944. Hardcover. Near Fine. A crisp first edition, black boards and silver lettering, no ownership signature in a pink jacket, not price-clipped, very little wear at all. A very good plus jacket of an extremely nice copy of this book which is taken from the collection of a Yorkshire bibliophile who specialised in twentieth century firsts with a particular emphasis on post-war crime fiction. Near Fine 1944
