A very nice copy, no bumps, slight spine tilt, crisp and clean interiors, previous owner's name, address and date on endpaper. Bright yellow DJ has short edge tears and light chipping. 5.5" x 8.75", 371 pages. Carried first as a serial in The Western Producer, this excellent book tells the stories of the pioneers of Saskatchewan in the early 1900's, primarily homesteader Lennox Tasker, who grew to love his adopted province. The author homesteaded near Lizard Lake, SK in 1905, and writes this down-to-earth story with solid true-to-life characters, drawn skillfully and realistically as only one who shared the experience can draw them.
