First edition. xxxvii, (iii), 280p, Selected and translated by G.L. Way, with preface, notes, and glossary [by G. Ellis]. Illustrated with woodcuts by Thomas Bewick. With an accomplished and well-detailed fore-edge painting of a coaching scene. In a contemporary binding of full black morocco, a.e.g., the spine with gilt titles and panel ornaments, the coves with small gilt rolled borders featuring flowers and birds. Hugo 95.
