Author. 28 fables by Thurber plus POETRY by: Longfellow, Kingsley, Scott, Tennyson, Houseman, Thorpe, Whittier, Hunt and English, all illustrated by Thurber. 124 pp. Yellowish-green cloth covered boards with a black cloth spine with red rext. 3 Thurber rabbits in red at bottom right of front panel. Book has very light soiling, some foxing front pastedown, fon ffep. Pertinent newspaper clippings laid in. Black, priceclipped DJ is intact but has edge chipping and hole in spine, # 9243 bottom of front flap, # 9244 on rear. Digital images available on request. Bookseller's Inventory # 133460.
