About This Item

1930. Very good condition. Captain Sir Hubert Wilkins was the Australian polar explorer known for his attempt to navigate a submarine under the Arctic in 1931 as part of the Nautilus expedition. This card was clearly part of his attempts to gain public support and possible financing for the expedition. Cream card, 5 1/2 x 3 1/4", black text with The Explorer Club seal, left edge rubbed, one corner slt creased.
