An explanatory circular to the Armenian public of greater Los Angeles
- Used
Los Angeles: [Holy Cross Apostolic Church], 1953. 19p., staplebound pamphlet, very good. Text in both Armenian and English. Issued in the complicated context of Armenian churches in the US still following the religious leaders in then-Soviet Armenia. The pamphlet explains why the Los Angeles church had broken ties with the California prelacy, after the latter "took part in celebrations of November 29 - the dark day in Armenian History when our Independence was destroyed by the soviets - and in so doing they put the Armenian people and its church under governmental suspicion.".
