First Printing of a catalogue for an exhibition, "Jinx Allen in Florence," September 16 to October 22, 2005, at Howard Greenberg Gallery, in New York, devoted entirely to images Orkin made over the course of a day, one of which was the famous "American Girl in Italy." Slim royal 8vo (255 x 204mm): 32 unnumbered pages, chiefly photographs, with essays by Mary Engel, Ninalee Allen Craig, and Shaun Considine. Original photo-ilustrated wraparound card wrappers. Ninalee Allen Craig (1927-2018). called "Jinx," was the subject of Orkin's "American Girl in Italy." This exhibition catalogue includes 17 other Orkin photographs of Jinx as well as reproductions of the original contact sheet and pages from Orkin's diary. N. B. With few exceptions (always identified), we only stock books in exceptional condition, carefully preserved in archival, removable mylar sleeves. All orders are packaged with care and posted promptly.
