About This Item

New Orleans: The National Book Company Inc, 1933. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing. Signed by Huey P. Long on the front free endpaper, inscribed to a former owner. Original orange cloth with red and black stamping. Very Good with spine slightly faded. Previous owner name on front pastedown, with a bit of ink transfer to the front free endpaper. In a tattered dust jacket with tape repairs made to the verso, and an amateur repair at the base of the spine leaving the printing misaligned. Long was a singular figure in Louisiana and national politics in the twenties and thirties, whose legacy is still hotly debated.
