New York.: John B. Alden.. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1887. Hardcover. 12mo - 18.5 x 10.5 cm.; Three un-numbered preliminary pages followed by numbered pages 202 to 302. Dark maroon cloth over thin boards with black lettering, title only, on the spine, black decorations on the front board with gilt lettering on the front. First performed in 1596 as the "Comedy of Humors", this play was recast two years later and entitled "Every Man in His Humor". Mild wear to the board corners and spine tips, the spine is a tad faded and the back board has some minor soiling. The text block is staple bound on the flat as issued with the staples visible in the gutter twixt the title page and the front free end paper. Both end paper gutters have minor tearing of the paper. Two previous owner's names and dates on the front free end paper, a father and son. The binding is still very tight and the interior is clean. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. .
