Greenfield, In: The Mitchell Company, 1934. Book. Fine. Cloth. Signed by Author(s). First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Sueded royal blue coth with gilted tiles to the front. Decorative blue EPs. This copy is FINE. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Frank Carleton Nelson, " To Master George T. Mayfield- Good Luck George and Sunny Days. Sincerely- Frank C. Nelson--May 6, 1934". Nelson was an Indiana poet who wrote only two books of poetry, but became known as "Indiana's Radio Poet", due to his frequent reading of poetry on Chicago's WGN and WLS in the 1920's and 1930's. As of September 2020, there are no other copies of this work on Abe or Biblio making this SCARCE and UNIQUE , SIGNED and INSCRIBED. The exterior is clean and rich with no noticeable signs of wear. The inside is unmarked, clear, and firmly bound with minimal/even toning to the text.DEdication to Sally Lou George, his granddaughter, of whom there is a photo. 128 pp. One of a kind !.
