The nature of a brook trout is one of gullibility; generally these fish will eat nearly any fly tossed at them, except the big ones, who often become cautious with age. Mr. Gierach weaves his narrative into the broad spectrum of why we fly fish and not as much about how to do it. He is an excellent writer on the outdoor sport of fly fishing. This copy without the colored print but it has the envelope which contained it. The book is bound in quarter blue Nigerian Goat and custom designed blue and brown paste paper and the binding was arranged by The Anglers Art Press of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Blue cloth slip case with a titling label on the spine panel. A nice book. Fine in a fine slip case. . Signed by Author.
