Nelson Canada Limited, 1980. 148 pp. Foreword by Emil Rosing. English translation by Jack Jensen and Val Clery. Caligraphy by Mel Poteck. THomas Frederiksen was born in Iginiarfic in 1939. The contents of this diary are a small social and cultural history in pictures and text. Text comprised of English on one side, Eskimo on the other 75 colour paintings by the author depicts the stark vistas seen from ice packs and floes, the fog-shrouded life aboard hunting ships, and the subtle changes of colour that mark a harsh landscape's seasons.
