Hardcover. 12mo - 18 x 12 cm.; 118 pp. A tale written for children (ages 8-10) about Acadia (now Nova Scotia) in the mid eighteenth century and the exile of the French by English settlers. Andre Melanson is sent to live with an Indian tribe until he can return to his grandfather's land in Grand Pre. A bit of light soiling on text which has clean pages and sturdy binding. Dust jacket has some edgewear and chipping. .
