Yellow cloth with a black and white illustrated frontis and black and white illustrations throughout. Moderate tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pen and pencil inscriptions to front endpaper with heavier tanning to text block edges. Last page is coming away from binding. Boards have visible rubbing and ink marks with minor bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and heavier sunning to spine. Splitting to rear joint.

The Enid Blytons Happy Story Book original publishers decorated blue boards has silver lettering and an illustration of a jack-in-the-box to the front board, silver lettering to the spine, and a plain back board. The Enid Blytons Happy Story Book binding is Very Good condition. The Enid Blytons Happy Story Book has 160 numbered pages containing some really lovely black and white illustrations which are in overall Very Good condition with light foxing throughout, which are mainly to the edges but also to the body of the pages, being light where present
