Dublin: For P. Byrne, 1791. 12mo. Second edition. 533pp., 24 pages of Bill of Fare for each month which includes the first course then on verso, the second course each with table placement. The author must have been a great cook as he covers nearly every food imaginable, Puddings, pickling, salting, wines, brewing, cakes, carving, preserving and much more found within 38 chapters. He was a cook at the Globe-Tavern, The White-Heart and the Temple Coffee House. A very handsome copy bound in full calf, earlier rebacking preserving original red morocco spine label gilt, old small corner repair to last page not affecting text, light scattered foxing to title page, small piece torn away to upper edge of pg. xi, light wear to corners. Very nice.
