Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; maroon cloth boards in VG condition, corners sharp, gilt titling remains bright and bold; text also very good; previous owner's ink stamp on front end page. One closed tear at top edge of front panel, else only minor wear to edges of unclipped dust jacket; minor toning to jacket as well; jacket arrives wrapped in protective mylar. Laid into this copy, on The Royal Institute of Philosophy stationary, indicating the author as being its Director, is a note which reads "8 Dec 65. / with compliments / Godfrey Vesey (underscored)". 114 pages, index.
