SIGNED by the author to his parents on the flyleaf. 267 pages with chronology, footnotes, index, bibliography, and index to bibliography. A solid early 20th c. biography of the noted British novelist (and biographer of Charlotte Bronte), Elizabeth Gaskell (d. 1865).
