New York: E. Weyhe, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Unpaginated quarto (10 x 13 inches), with an original lithograph pencil-signed and numbered by Elise (and printed by Lynton R. Kistler) as frontispiece, an original colored lithograph portrait of Elise pencil-signed by Wood, and 16 other plates (one color) reproducing works by Elise. Paper-covered boards are edgeworn and chipped, and there is vertical cracking to the spine, which is also missing a chip at the head. Internally fine. Number 16 of 200 copies issued. This copy inscribed on the front pastedown by both Armitage and Danz to Arthur and Francine Millier. Arthur Millier was a printmaker and the long-time art critic for the Los Angeles Times and was good friends with both men. Armitage writes: "This book was made for Arthur and Francine Millier and very few other people" and Danz writes "To Arthur and Francine from a friend of Lucidar." Both inscriptions are dated in the year of publication.
