Sir Edward Crisp Bullard Had A Distinguished Research Career Particularly On The Earth's Magnetic Field (He Identified The Liquid Motion Of The Earth's Core As A Self-Exciting Dynamo), Heat Flow Through The Deep Sea Floor, And The Nature Of The Continental Shelf (Opening The Way For Drilling For Oil And Gas); He Held Many Government Research Positions, Partiocularly In Wwii, Later As Director Of The National Physics Laboratory From 1950, And Later Still As Chairman Of The Steering Committee Supervising Britain's Space Research Program.
