London: MacMillan & Co., 1886. Book. Very Good. Cloth. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Green cloth with embossed rules to front. Gilt lettering/rules to the spine. This copy is VG to VG+. Exterior shows modest bumping, a few rubs. Gilt still bright. Dark green EPs. Inside is unmarked, crisp, and tight with modest toning. Small bookseller label to bottom front paste down ( Foyles). 2 pp. ads to the rear. SCARCE in the First Edition. Only one other such on Abe as of January 2022. Illustrated with Two Hundred Seventy woodcuts. Adapted from the German of Robert Wiedersheim and translated by W. Newton Parker with additions by him . Quite nice..
