Hinges are heavily cracked with exposed netting. Title page is loose but still attached. Moderate cracking to gutters, with exposed netting. Pages and plates are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing. Pencil writing to title page. Pen inscription to preface page. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Lettering is bright and clear. Visible black marks to back board. Slight crushing to spine ends.

Ex-library (Institute of Water Pollution Control), with library's label to front paste-down and presentation label to front free end paper. Illustrations consist of photographs (eg "eggs of parasite on feather of pheasant") and line drawings of apparatus. Sample content: "How to photograph multiple images through the compound eye of an insect". Six pages of advertisements at the rear. Condition Notes: Boards somewhat worn, especially at corners. Pages clean and bright.
