Tan buckram stamped in blind on front boards and with printed paper spine label. Foreword by Henry Ford. Frontispiece photo of Hubbard and many examples of Roycrofter illustrations throughout. A biography of the Western New York writer, printer, and publisher, whose distinctive publications were wonderfully designed and produced examples of American Arts and Crafts style. Hubbard founded the Roycrofter artisan community in East Aurora, New York. He and his wife perished aboard the Lusitania when it sunk in 1915. Verse on page 254 by James Whitcomb Riley listed as BAL 16730. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 553 pages .
