Book was originally published in 1851 to relate Lear's travels in 1848 to northern Greece and Albania. This then is the journal of those treks. First are his travels from September 9 to November 12, 1848; secondly is his journey beginning April 24 and finishing June 9, 1849. Included are twenty lithographs by Edward Lear. Brown cloth covered boards have bright gilt text on spine, top edge dyed, tan ep's. Hint of rubbing at spine ends, uniform 1 1/4" at spine moisture stain along bottom edge that tapers to corners. Unclipped ( price 50s net,) wraparound DJ has sunned spine and very light edge wear. Bookseller's Inventory # 160261.
