About This Item

London: N/A, 1950. 220 x 143 mm. Near Fine. Paolozzi's visiting card from the 1950s, annotated and presented by the artist: 'For David, Dec 1991' with 'Ex Libris' written by the artist above his printed name. The card which is 65x90mm has been mounted on a sheet of paper on which was written 'To John from Malcolm May 1950', still visible on the verso. The card is slightly soiled and has been clipped loosely to an invitation to Sims Reed's posthumous exhibition of 'Eduardo Paolozzi Screenprints 1967-2000' from 2009. This visiting card dates from just after Paolozzi's return to London from Paris where he met Picasso and Giacometti in the late 1940s. Near Fine 1950
