About This Item
Gretna, La: Pelican Publishing Company. As New in As New dust jacket. 2006. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 1589804279 . As New condition including dust. Blue cover with gold lettering. This is not only the story of Edna Hibel (who turns 90 in 2007) but a collection of some of her most beautiful work. From Europe to Russia and Asia this wonderful women artist has produced some of the most cherished work in lithographs, serigraphy, porcelain, plates, and dolls. Her subjects are mostly women and children. Her magnificant lithographs (drawings on stone that are transferred to the print) have as many as 32 colors, more than any other artist since lithography was invented in 1798. Ms. Hibel signed this book personally "with love, Edna Hibel" along with the author at an art show in Naples, Florida, February 11, 2007. Owning it almost like having a collection of her works signed personally. Extremely rare and beautiful. ; Color and B&W illustrations; 0.9 x 14.1 x 11.1 Inches; 176 pages; p; Signed by Author & Illustrator .
