The judges selected were Senator W.H. Dennis, Professor W.C. Kierstead and Professor A.B. Balcom. Professor Balcom went on to say this of the winning essay: " This essay is by far the most comprehensive study of economic conditions in the Maritimes that has yet been made". Introduction by Alfred Burpee Balcom is followed by author's introduction. This book offers 14 chapters from....the forest industries, mining, coal, fishing industries, etc, etc, through to the general proposals, conclusion, notes and references. Name to ffep.
