Leighton, PA: Leighton High School. 1932. Hardcover. Very Good with no dust jacket; Two Yearbooks From Leighton High School, Leighton, Pennsylvania, 1931 and 1932. Franz Kilne was a student there and was Artist for the Yearbook in his Junioi Year. Most of the cartoons and decorations were done by him. His Signature appears in both books. Franz Kline was part of abstract expressionist movement in New York City in the 1940's and 50's. Both Books are in good condition. The 1931 Yearbook has a weak and loose spine. The 1932 Yearbook has a weak spine. Both have some edgewear. ; B&W Illustrations .

Later half calf, spine in six compartments with raised banding, gilt lettering and motifs, marbled boards, new endpapers. Short detachment of tissue guard and title page to base. Very occasional spotting. A lovely volume.
Richard Tully was the British Consul at Tripoli from 1783 to 1793, and, according to the preface, these letters were written by his sister; and attributed to his sister-in-law in the second and third editions. The author's identity has always been a mystery: there is no record of a sister, nor of another female family member residing in Tripoli apart from Mr Tully's wife and two daughters. The final entry is dated April 30, 1795, Gibraltar. It reads: "Since you must have had my letters with the journal of Tripoli". First edition, octavo; xvi,232pp, with full complement of 34 engravings, 33 of which are folding. In contemporary unlettered full calf (a little worn with minor loss to board corners, sometime skilfully rebacked in matching leather), five raised spine bands, internally clean with only the lightest of occasional dust staining. Muller was deputy head of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, where he was instrumental to its transformation into a disciplined cadet academy. An attractive first edition example of his first work. Laurence Sterne possessed the text in second edition, with possible influence on Uncle Toby and Corporal Trim's obsessions with fortification in The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy. A rare and highly sought-after western stereoview showing a group of Ute males in front of the photographer's studio on Pike's Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs circa 1875. Most of the men are holding weapons; one of them has both a Maynard Carbine (the first one with a folding sight) and a Colt Model 1860 army revolver. This stereoview is from the collection of Robert N. Dennis, who was one of the most important stereoview collectors in the U. S. The New York Public Library's "Robert N. Dennis Collection" includes more than 70,000 stereoviews from his collection, many of which can be viewed on the library's website. The albumen prints are clean and bright, with very good contrast.
