A previous owner has used masking tape towarsd the tail of the front flap to hold down the jacket; there is a remnant 7cm sticky tape marl towards the tail of the front hinge, which has left a stain on the front end paper, and next to that, a small piece of masking tape. The rest of the book is pristine. "Account of the early settlement of Western Australia, from European discovery of the Swan River until the arrival of the first convict ships in 1850......Includes chapter entitled "A people dispossessed" discussing the consequences of European settlement on the Aboriginal population and the establishment of government ration stations, Christian missions and other institutions (pp.41-46)."
