Top edge gilt. Unfortunately leather area was covered with masking and scotch tape, and masking tape was used to reinforce both the front and rear hinges. Ex-library copy with only library indication being on the second end page and next to last page which are both stamped " Discarded From Bangor The Theological Seminary". The front stamped page also has something scribbled out in pen - probably reference numbers. The next page shows a previous owner signature. No other handwriting noted in book. Pages are toned but clean, nothing torn or loose. Despite the masking tape the binding is still strong, good reference copy.
