The text block is tightly bound, square and in near fine condition, with clean pages and no inscriptions etc. With 57 b/w photos, 25 line drawings and 7 maps. In very good brown, pictorial dust jacket, white titles. Edges of jacket a little chipped. Not price clipped.

The text is illustrated with the aforementioned photographs, along with 32 black-and-white figures within the text and seven maps. Purple coloured cloth covered boards with gilt embossed logo of Thames and Hudson on the front panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Purple coloured tint to the top text block edge. Rubbing to the lower book edges and fading to the backstrip edges. Illustrated dustwrappers with cream coloured background and brown titles to the front panel and backstrip. Chipping to the top backstrip edge and there is quite significant fading to the same area. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and there is clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. A book on the early excavation and archaeology India and Pakistan.
