Large format hardcover with dustjacket, this scarce original edition is signed by the author on the Dedication page, "A comprehensive study of the houses of the American colonists, their kitchens, fireplaces, untensils, furniture, social rooms and family life," illustrated throughout with photos, the book has minor flaws only: a discreet (blind) ownership-stamp is present on the half-title page, there are short edge-tears to the bottoms of the early pages but all of the text and photos are fine, the front hinge has a slight amount of play but the binding remains tight and clean, the jacket does have edge-wear and a few tape-mends are present on the reverse side, the jacket is clean and remains presentable, the original price (5.75) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included which protects the jacket as well as enhancing its appearance; 144 pages;…
