Description: Illustrated in color and b&w by Elizabeth Black Carmer. An iron eagle, although he enjoys his job as a weather vane on top of the barn, has always had a yearning to fly. One day a terrible wind snaps the weather vane, and the eagle gets his wish, but then realizes he has no way to return to his familiar perch.
