Book Condition: lettering dulled, cloth of outer joint split along spine at lower cover, corners pushed, spine ends frazzled. end papers foxed; text block unmarked otherwise, binding sound. Dust Jacket Condition: Lacking. Translation of L'aigle à deux têtes. Adapted by Ronald Duncan. On copyright page: "Made and printed in Great Britain by F W Dimpleby and Sons MCMXLVIII". We hold with the first contingent of those who consider the correct dating of the first English edition is 1948 (not 1947).
