About This Item
Washington D.C.: Brassey's Inc, 2001. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/near fine. Signed. About As New in all respects. Inscribed by the author. First printing, full number line. History of the 107th New York Infantry Regiment in WWI. The 107th was formed from the patrician 7th NYIR and the plebian 1st and 12th Infantry Regiments of upstate New York. This merged unit of the "silk stockings" and the "apple knockers" hurled themselves against the Hindenburg Line. This action contributed to the collapse of the German Army and the ending of the war a few weeks later. Their welcome home parade is still believed to be the biggest ever in New York City history. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover. Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
