Very clean beige buckram cloth boards with brown lettering on cover and spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean endpapers - no names, writing or bookplates. Illustrated with 160 plates, eight of them in color. 398 pages with index. Dust jacket is clean (fading to spine background and a couple of small faint water spots to spine), some chipping at top and bottom spine edges. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..

Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Price label to front free end paper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is dulled. Unclipped jacket has light edge-wear with tears and creasing.

Used - Good. Ships from the UK. Former library book; may include library markings. Used book that is in clean, average condition without any missing pages.
