Perkins, Oklahoma: Evans Pubns, 1987. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. SIGNED by the author at verso of first free endpaper, and embossed stamp of previous owner at title page. The sequel to the popular social history of an Oklahoma oil boomtown. Sterling condition hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Pasted onto first free endpaper are three hand-written notes by the previous owner. Handsomely produced in a light gray cloth over boards, sharp and distinct black lettering to cover and spine. Plentiful black-and-white illustrations and photographs of this oil boomtown. Dust jacket present, illustrated, still bright but showing considerable edge-wear. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xiv, 1-275 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
