Originally issued by Archibald Constable in 1897, with subsequent reprints by them up until the eigth edition of 1904. William Rider & Son took over publication in April 1912 with the completely reset Ninth Edition; this is the second printing of this new edition - the 'Tenth Edition' - of 1913. Spine panel faintly tanned but still bright with clear bright gilt, one tiny bump and faint wear to spine tips; a few minor internal stains to text. A very good, attractive copy.
