From the book cover: A doctor's life is always exciting and unpredictable, but seldom does the medical profession offer such variance and adventure as the career of Dr. Darwood. And seldom does an account of such a life provoke emotional and spiritual stimulation as does this vivid and unusual drama. though a brilliant, successful young surgeon, George Darwood experiences an undefinable heart hunger. Then, through the brilliant testimony of another doctor, his illness is finally diagnosed and he receives the Savior. But the step is costly. His lovely young wife bitterly objects and, deciding to let him go his way alone, takes their baby daughter and leaves. The sudden clamor of war hurls Dr. Darwood into the medical corps to face the misery of broken bodies and broken hearts. The final and happiest portion of his life is spent in city slums ministering medically and spiritually to needy souls. The stark realism and thrilling adventure, told by one who is himself a physician and psychiatrist, makes Dr. Darwood a gripping and unforgettable drama. Dr. John Frame was a medical missionary who served the Lord in Hamadan, Iran. He also was a clinical professor in the area of tropcal medicine, medical director of the National Council of Churches of Christ and and an U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Dr. Frame was a co-discoverer of lassa fever in West Africa. John Frame went to his eternal home with the Lord in 2008. Accurately described because we look!
