About This Item

Elgin, IL: Brethren Publishing House, (1947). First Edition. Hardcover. Just a touch of sunning to the spine of the book; dustwrapper with moderate edgewear and staining, a large chip at the head of the spine with a small piece at the spine middle lacking, and the front inside flap missing. Fine in a Fair dustwrapper. Stafford's scarce first book, not poetry but a collection of fictional accounts based on his own experience in Civilian Public Service camps for religious objectors during the Second World War.
