New York: Minton, Balch & Company, 1927. Signed Limited edition, preceding the first trade edition of what many consider the greatest golf book of the 20th century. One of 300 numbered copies, signed by both Robert T. Jones and O.B. Keeler, and again by Jones beneath his frontispiece. Octavo, original half vellum over green cloth, gilt titles to the spine, top edge gilt, frontispiece, illustrated. Foreword by Grantland Rice. In fine condition. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. "Jones left an enduring legacy of athletic prowess and exemplary personal characteristics. No one is likely to break his records of 13 U.S. and British national championships, and four in one year (he won the U.S. Open a total of four times, the U.S. Amateur five times, the British Open three times, and the British Amateur one time) The Masters seems to have a secure place in the pantheon of golf; and the name Bobby Jones will continue to represent the highest standards of amateurism, sportsmanship and self-mastery" (ANB).

Description:
NY: Conde Nast, 1933-36, 1933. Folios. 18 issues: 1933 -- January, February, August, September, October and December. 1934 -- October. 1935 -- January, April through December. 1936 -- January. All but one issue (October 1934) contain articles by Robert T. Jones, Jr. (Bobby Jones). Overall, the condition of these large fragile magazines is very good or better, with the following exceptions: August 1933 the covers are partially separated (but present); October 1934 there is a faint damp stain in the rear; April and May 1935 the covers are detached but present and July 1935 there is a large chip rear cover. Four issues have an ad neatly excised (not affecting text or photographs). These magazines were profusely illustrated with photographs, and many issues contain substantial pieces on women's golf. They have all become scarce, especially those issues with classic articles by Bobby Jones.. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good.

A photographic and written history of the famous Indian golf club. It is the oldest golf club in India, and this book reflects the history with many vintage black and white, and full colour photographs. There is also a large section on the early years with details of, for example; the founders, the first members, distinguished visitors, rules, etc. This is a near fine copy in dust jacket, just short of tine due tor the name of a previous owner on the free endpaper. The jacket is now protected with a Brodart cover.
