About This Item

Sampson Low, Marston & Co, London, No date. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: J. Pollack -- Cover Art. 184pp. Red coloured boards with black writing on the spine. Shelfwear to the top and bottom book edges and bumping to the lower book corners. The corners are also somewhat rubbed and frayed. Red of the boards has become marked and a little stained. Browning and foxing to the top paper edge and browning to the others. On the last few page edges on the fore edge the red of the cloth has bled onto the paper. Browning to the endpapers and internal pages. Gift inscription to the top left-hand corner of the free front end paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, by J. Pollack, with black and white writing on the front panel and black and red on the spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed and the back panel is a lot grubby. Chipping and rubbing to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the humour of the spine. A little browning to the verso of the dustwrapper. There is no publication details that I can find, but gift inscription dates it at 1963. To save his ranch Steve Russell would do anything even use the fabulous "Doomrock" -- which "... legend said, had once belonged to Napoleon and which was supposed to bring its possessor fortune and power -- followed by disaster and death!". Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: J. Pollack -- Cover Art. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 500 grams.
