Ron Sauey was co-founder of the International Crane Foundation, Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Paperback. 608p., semi-coated paperstock throughout, illustrated sparsely with an inserted color frontis of eight different sparrows and an occasional line map. Paperbound as issued in 1944, a massive 10.5x7 inch textblock in plain printed wraps; cover wraps have overlapping edges which are a bit worn, and spine panel has a half-inch ding. An eminently sound copy, entirely clean within, free of any markings, altogether good to very good. Cooper Ornithological Club, Pacific Coast Avifauna number 27.
