New York: Holmes and Meier, 1990. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Fine in near fine unclipped dj that has ink scribble on verso side of spine but otherwise fine.. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Inscribed & dated April 11, 1991 in New York by Roy to translator Harter on the front flyleaf. Laid in is handwritten lletter in French from Roy to Harter "Cher Hugh" (and his wife Fran) which touches briefly on several matters. The letter is dated April 21, 1994. Also, laid in, is a printed cardw/envelope addressed to the Harters announcing the death of Claude Roy in 1997. Roy was born in 1915, and was an important but little-known writer outside France. A nice mini-archive. 8vo boards. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
