1812. BURNS, John. DISSERTATIONS ON INFLAMMATION. Volume I. (& II.) Albany: Published by E. F. Backus; New York: C. S. Van Winkle, Printer, 1812. First American edition. Two volumes bound in one. Octavo. Contemporary binding of full calf, red morocco label at spine, all edges speckled brown. The binding is rubbed at edges and corners, lightly scuffed at sides, and the spine has fine crackling and is sunned. Text leaves are lightly age-browned, with occasional light foxing. Very good plus, and quite scarce. (Shaw & Shoemaker 24999).
