The binding is tight and hinges strong. The paper quality is rather poor -- heavily tanned -- not brittle but requires gentle handling. The last blank page has pencil notes. Owner name. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 527 pages .

Description:
Chicago: Philadelphia; and Stockton, Ca.: L.P. Miller & Co.. 527 pages. Has the frontis color lithograph of "Modern Dining Room" it has a short tear on it about an icnh and a halfand is lightly soiled and used looking. The white outer hardback cover is soiled and very used looking. The spine has a bump the vertical length at the middle outside which corresponds to the interior cracking that has occured. One signature slightly sprung with tissue repair to leaf that has its margins trimmed as well - and re-inserted. Light crack at the same spot that goes the lenght of the interior joint. 527 pages - complete. The inside front and back joints were repaired some time ago with cloth re-enforcing tape the whole length of each joint. The pages are still flexible and not brittle. One can still flip through the pages. Very scarce in any condition. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Tall . Fair. White Embossed Hardback. Original 1891 First Edition.. 1891.
